CMU’s engagement with policy is not peripheral to her work; it sits at the center of it. Having served as Senior Technical Adviser on Youth and Gender to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture under Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, a role supported by Synergos and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, she understands both the machinery of government and the gap between institutional ambition and grassroots reality. Her advisory contributions have spanned youth participation in agriculture, gender inclusion strategies, stakeholder coordination, and enterprise and market systems development.
Policy without implementation is just paperwork. The real work is building the bridge between what governments intend and what farmers and businesses actually experience.
She has contributed to policy conversations at platforms connected to The African Union, FATE Foundation, Lagos State ecosystem initiatives, and the Mastercard Foundation Consultative Committee Nigeria, where she currently supports strategic engagement tied to the Young Africa Works strategy. In policy dialogues and advisory forums, CMU is valued for her ability to translate field-level insight into strategic recommendations that are grounded, practical, and implementable at scale.
